Wake Almanor will proudly be operating a 2023 Mastercraft XT23. Mastercraft boats have the most adjustable wave in the industry and the perfect tool for developing skills from beginner to expert. The boat is well equipped, comfortable, stylish, and has bluetooth capability to blast your favorite song while shredding the best wave on the lake.
What do I need to bring?
Sun protection (preferably non-spray), sunglasses, swim attire, hat, towels, warm clothing, camera, phone chargers, downloaded playlist and anything you think might make your day more enjoyable! Snacks and beverages are welcome; however, please respect the boat so no items that are messy or cause stains. (no red wine, melting chocolate, berries, cheetos, greasy foods…) Please eat and drink responsibly with appropriate containers such as lidded tumblers instead of stemmed wine glasses.
What should I NOT bring?
No pets allowed under any circumstance. No smoking, yet vaping is acceptable. Shoes will be stored on the boat but never worn on the boat. No fishing equipment or sharp objects please.
What is the weather policy?
High winds, rain, lightening, or poor air quality could result in a shorter trip or canceled excursion. Safety is top priority. In the event of a weather cancelation or interruption, the session will be rescheduled or credited accordingly.
What is included?
Wake Almanor provides wakesurf boards, inner tube, fuel, USCG approved life jackets, wetsuits and a licensed captain whom has experience in watersport instruction. An ice chest is onboard but no guarantee ice will be available. The boat has tow rope options so if you want to bring your own watersports equipment, please get permission first so we can make room.
How many people can we bring?
The maximum amount of passengers are 8 people for safety, comfort and per local regulation. Yes, infants qualify as a person.
How much time do we need and can we add additional time?
How much time a group will need can vary on group size and activities. A good rule of thumb is that each wakesurfer needs 30-60 minutes of surf time and 5 minutes between each person. Tubing takes about 10 minutes to inflate/deflate and kids usually want at least 30 minutes of fun. Additional time can be purchased in 30-minute intervals, based on availability.
Where do we get picked up and dropped off?
We have 4 pick up locations. REC I for guest and members of LACC, Knotty Pines Marina, Canyon Dam boat launch, as well as our friends at Plumas Pines Resort. Got a private dock? Great! We’ll pick you up there if water depths are greater than 4’. Please select your pick up location when booking your reservation.
